About me.

I’m Declan May-Cunningham. I’ve spent more than 15 years working across wind energy, composite manufacturing, logistics, automotive services and retail. I started in hands-on roles and moved into leading teams and managing operations. That experience has taught me to listen to the people doing the work and look for practical improvements. I grew up on a small island in rural England, where punk rock and skateboarding shaped my creative side and my interest in doing things my own way.

Locus Ludendi gives those interests a home — a place for playing. It grew out of frustrations I kept running into: paywalls getting in the way of work, software that promised more than it delivered, stories I couldn’t connect with, and shops pushing products I wouldn’t want to buy. I wanted to put the person using what we make first. Whether it’s an app, a piece of clothing or a book, the aim is to make something worth using and coming back to. Something you can put down, pick up when you need it, and trust to do its job.
